CALCULATOR GUIDE

About the EPF Calculator India

Estimate monthly employee and employer EPF contributions and a simplified future balance. You can change the wage base and rates to match your situation.

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter PF wages or basic plus DA used for the estimate.
  2. Enter employee and employer EPF rates.
  3. Enter years and an assumed annual interest rate.
  4. Review contributions and the illustrated balance.

How the calculation works

The calculator estimates employee and employer EPF contributions from the selected wage base, then compounds the combined monthly addition at the assumed rate. It intentionally does not model every EPS and wage-ceiling rule.

Example

At a ₹15,000 wage base and 12% employee contribution, the employee-side contribution is ₹1,800 per month before considering any special applicable rule.

Things to keep in mind

  • EPFO rules can include wage ceilings and EPS allocation.
  • Interest is credited according to EPFO rules rather than a generic monthly compounding schedule.
  • Higher-wage contributions can have special conditions.
  • Use your EPFO passbook or employer payroll for the official balance.
